If I should sit and write a song of you

Song

By Maradas Graham

If I should sit and write a song of you

To frame the love I feel for you in verse

My writers gift would turn into a curse

A song thats made of words would never do

Can words describe the sunlight in your hair

Or how the shadows play along your face?

The finest lyrics still would find disgrace

One cannot put to words a love so fair

To kiss you as youre sleeping in the night

To feel the wind that dances just for you

The best description I could ever do

Is still as far from you as dark to light

And so I think the poets have it wrong

When eer they say all lovers need a song
